That's great that you can make your fittings! Sure helps for when you need an odd shape connector. I'm guessing they are some sort of injection molding?

The Freeline type is the way to go with this sport  it has a very natural action and easer to edge, trust me I have tried both for years. I know what works better..
 
Lets get a group together and see what happens??   I have heaps of new boards to try with a kite..

Ye felt great, but not enough wind for the 10.5 on the day. Flew through the air so quick and to loop the kite and be able to control the power load is an awsom feeling. I could see me using my 11m STAR EXA on land also.
